Tony Sheridan (real name Anthony Esmond Sheridan McGinnity) became best known for his performances at the Top Ten Club in Hamburg, sometimes with the Beatles accompaniment group. The latter is a nice reference to the first issue of this audiophile LP from the famous Swedish record label Opus 3. Tell me if you can with lyrics by Tony Sheridan and Paul McCartney. On this LP pressed on 180 grams of vinyl are 12 songs of which Tony sings himself on two songs. The other songs are sung and played by well-known Opus 3 artists as a tribute to Tony Sheridan, who died in 2013. As we are used to from Opus 3 (listen to the test plates of this label) there is plenty of timbre and all instruments are perfectly listenable. The voices of the vocalists are nicely upfront.
