T-Bone Walker
T-Bone Walker was born Aaron Walker on May 28, 1913 in Linden Texas. This Blues legend passed away on March 16, 1975. As he even said: "I didn't start playing the blues ever, that was in me before I was born". T-Bone Walker joins the ranks of greats such as Muddy Waters, Champion Jack Dupree and Lightning Hopkins as the first artists to spread this form of music in the American South.
T Bone Blues
In honor of the 75th anniversary of Atlantic Recording Cooperation, Analogue Productions has released 75 titles, including this one A collection of 11 titles by blues legend T-Bone Walker. Originally published in 1959. My absolute favorite is Stormy Monday Blues.
Rating
For this collection of blues titles, they used the best sources available. Mastered from the original analog tapes. They used a Scully Lathe cutting table with a variable pitch that allows the loud passages to have more space between the grooves.
The transfer of the master tape was done with an Ampex Model 300 Tape Recorder.
With this, Analogue Production has released a wonderfully direct and spacious double LP.
