According to the Hebrew Bible, King Solomon (Salomon) lived from 972 to 932 BC. King Solomon was worshiped because of his wise decisions (Salomon's judgment). It was a rich and wise man seen as a harbinger of the Millennial Kingdom, a prophecy in which Christ would lock the devil upon his return to earth. The worship of King Solomon is the agreement with Solomon Burke. The man is worshiped by his fan base. I once had the pleasure to see and hear the man live (2003 and 2005 North Sea Jazz). Solomon Burke IS soul with enormous control over his voice. Regardless of the genre he recorded, from gospel, folk rock, R & B, soul ballads and country and western, everything exudes soul.
