Seasick Steve
In 2013 we heard his life story during a live performance by Seasick Steve. When he fled his father at the age of 14, lived on the street, only played Blues for his dog, etc. That story turns out to be made up. He was not born in 1941 but in 1951, Not called Steven Gene Wold but Steven Leach. I don't care. Seasick Steve is a Blues legend for me, makes his own instruments, cigar boxes, hubcaps if only a few strings can be put on it. A wooden chair and a bottle of wine on the stage and play.
Love & Peace
9 delicious Blues songs in the style of Seasick Steve. In addition to Dan Magnusson on drums and percussion, Malcolm Arison on harmonica, Luther Dickinson on bass, guitar and cigar box, Martin Guigui and Henry James Wold on piano, Seasick Steve plays things with a string.
Recorded in several studios.
Review
As Seasick Steve stated, "old skool", no computer, Recorded on 2 inch analog tape, converted to 1/2 inch analog tape. Mixed by Vance Powell and mastering by good old Bernie Grundman. I love it!
