National Symphonic Winds
You could call it a wind orchestra. The orchestra consists of "woodwinds" as oboes, clarinet and flute, supplemented by "brass" as trombone, trumpet, saxophone and tuba. In addition, there is percussion.
This orchestra plays classics as well as more recent material.
Center Stage
There are only 6 titles on this double LP. Well-known songs translated to the line-up of this orchestra.
Think Mary Poppins, West Side Story, the marching band of the 1984 Olympics and Barnum, the musical by Cy Coleman and Micheal Stewart.
Rating
Just like Winds of War ans Peace, a beautifully detailed shot with depth. All instruments are easy to follow. Thanks also to David Wilson (of the Wilson Watt's) who states: "It just doesn't it much better than this".
