Naima Joris
Her father is a Jazz musician, her grandfather sang opera. Naima herself is a late bloomer. She didn't start singing until she was 27. Her first debut album has a black edge. On her first LP in 5 she sings of the loss of her sister who died of cancer. A beautiful deep voice that touches you.
Naima Joris
An artist to keep an eye on. The loss of her sister sings in these five titles of her debut LP. She also plays many instruments herself, such as acoustic guitar, keyboard and soprano sax. Niels van Heertum's euphonium (a kind of tenor tuba) combines nicely with the other music.
Judgement
A beautiful emotional document. Good recording, reasonable stage and detail.
