Feelin' the spirit
As the title suggests, all titles on this LP are based on well-known music from the holy church. think of Go down Moses and Joshua fit the battle ob Jericho. A movement in bop introduced by Art Blakey and Horace Silver and the popularity of Ray Charles is also involved. Five delicious gospel-type bop music pieces.
Rating
This reissue of the original ST-84132 Blue Note release has nothing to be ashamed of.
Sufficiently transparent with sufficient detail so that instruments such as Garvin Masseaux's tambourine are easy to follow. Also the cymbals of Butch Warren's drum kit.
