Fiona Boyes
Fiona Boyes was born in Melbourne, Australia. She is an Australian blues musician. She was part of the Blues Band "The Mojo's" in 1990. Boyes' debut album My Heart was in 2000.
She started her Blues career after winning an Australian-made Maton guitar. With more than 30 Australian awards and 5 American Blues Music Awards, you can't ignore her as a blues artist.
Professin' the blues
On this double LP Fiona plays four guitars, a Beeton, a Maton, a National Reso-Phonic and a 4 string cigar box. The double LP has 16 titles on which quite a few styles pass by. From Delta slide, Mississippi Hills grooves, country blues and classic styles from New Orleans, Chicago and Memphis.

What in this LP Professor Keith Johnson succeeded perfectly that the music and voice of Fiona is perfectly captured. Very present, very direct. Very detailed and busy. In summary a gem.
