Eddie 9V
Brooks Mason (stage name Eddie 9V) was born in 1996 in Atlanta. At six he got his first guitar and his first band was the cover band Smokin Frogs and then the blues rock band The Georgia Flood. The German label Ruf Record (including Walter Trout and Luther Allison) has recorded with Eddie Capricorn.
Capricorn
In addition to Eddie 9V, no less than 12 other musicians have contributed to this LP. Eddie has long had a fascination with the Capricorn studios in Macon, Georgia. Built in 1969 and restored as the Mercer Music at Capricorn. Built to represent the music of the south. Great artists like The Allman Brothers band, Percy Sledge have recorded their music there. The LP contains 11 delightful songs in the style of the South. Soul and Rhythm & Bleus predominate.
Rating
On the edge of audiophile. You should therefore not buy Capricorn to get an excellent audiophile gem, but an LP with very interesting soul, rhythm and blues from an artist that you should keep an eye on. The LP does have sufficient quality.
