Duets by Rob Wasserman is an audiophile LP on 200 grams vinyl. The idea behind the 9 songs on this LP is that one instrument, Rob's bass, can combine perfectly with one voice or another instrument. The result is an audiophile gem with duets with Rickie Lee Jones, Jennifer Warnes, Cheryl Bentyne, Stephane Grappelli and Bobby McFerrin. Lou Reed, Dan Hicks and Aaron Neville. My favorites are Ballad of an runaway horse (yes, the lyrics of Leonard Cohen) and the chicken skin number Angel eyes with Cheryl Bentyne. But the unique song The moon is made of gold by Rickie Lee Jones, whose text was written by her father at her birth is not to be sneezed at either. Analogue Productions only makes 1,000 copies per stamp.
