Doug MacLeod
Doug MacLeod was born on April 21, 1946 in New York and comes from a musical family. His mother plays classical music and his grandfather was an Irish folk singer. After moving to St. Louis, Doug first heard B.B. Play King in a small club. That changed his image of Blues as a sad music.
Come to find
Just like Break the chain, another great LP from Doug MacLeod. 11 delicious Blues songs on a double LP at 45 rpm. Doug MacLeod on guitar and vocals, Charlie Musselwhite on harmonica, Bill Stuve on bass, Jimi Bott on drums and Black Cherry back up vocals.
Review
Joe Harley is responsible for the production. A nice audiophile LP and as befits Analogue Productions fully analog based on the original master tape (3M 996 @ 30ips). Dry kick drum, guitar, bass and harmonica. It is all in detail. Thanks to microphones from Neumann, AKG and Sony, cables from Audioquest and mastering by Kevin Gray. Super!
